Britons rejoiced at the birth of their future king. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge welcomed a baby on Monday 22 July at 4:24 pm at St Mary’s Hospital.
The bets were high on the gender of the future ruler. Now the world waits to hear the name of the royal couple’s little prince.
Journalists and camera-crew waited all day on Tuesday to snap the first picture of William and Kate with their baby.
The couple emerged from entrance of the St Mary’s Hospital to the cheers of the happy crowd waiting outside.
The couple were all smiles for the cameras as they snapped away at the future king. Prince William answered a few questions from the media. No word on the baby name yet.
William wasn’t afraid to hold the baby as he told the crowd, “He’s good got a pair of lungs that’s for sure, he’s a big boy.”
“Her looks, thankfully. He has way more [hair] than me, thank God,” said the Prince.
Kate told the reports about how helpful William’s been with the baby, “He’s done his first nappy”.
The doting new father passed his next task under the watchful eye of the crowds.
He jokingly wiped his brow after placing the baby chair carrying his little boy in the car. William drove his new little family away to Kensington Palace.
