Oh sweet baby love! I could die for your chunky thighs and chocolate curls.
We celebrated a few firsts with you this month. Your first Christmas, your first swim and your first holiday!
On Christmas Eve, the visiting elves brought you and Adriana matching Christmas pjs to celebrate as we had Christmas Eve at your Nana’s house with your cousins.
We had Christmas lunch at home and the family came over. There was not a shortage of cuddles and kisses for you as almost everyone had a turn.
Boxing Day, you had your first swim at your Tia and Tio’s house. You didn’t complain or moan but happily floated in the water. I do think that the warm temperature of the pool helped. B
We went to the bush for a little breakaway with family before school started! You are so content, it doesn’t matter where you sleep. Happily in the camper cot or in the pram wherever we go.
You smile the cutest little smile that it melts all my troubles away. If anything is too much for you or I, simply scooping you into my arms and cradling you on my chest makes the world of a difference for the both of us.
You are as besotted with your big sister as she is with you. It is an unbreakable bond that I love to watch unfold.
You
are definitely sleeping longer and often through the night. It is hard not to sneak a kiss on your chubby cheeks when I check up on you. Even Adriana, she cannot leave you alone for an extended time. A couple of times I’ve asked your sister to check up on you and then she returns with you safely in her arms claiming that you were awake. You’re not phased and look rather impressed that your sister fetched you, as if the two of you have your own secret language already.
The months are moving as quickly as your chunky legs, when you’re excited to speak to me!
I could eat you up but as Adriana says “Mommy I could eat her up and she can live in me forever”.
You have your best friend for life already I couldn’t be prouder.
I love you forever and a day.
Mama
X
