Sunday night Rihanna performed at the FNB Stadium to screaming fans waiting to see the bad girl. Initially, I had made no plans to attend the concert. However at the spur of the moment, I was invited to watch RiRi by my lovely friend/future sister in-law N. So off we went with the boys to be a part of the Rihanna Navy.
Walking in us two girls were shocked and remarked how every half-naked ass baring cheeks shorts girl would regret their attire later.
After finding our seats with the guys in tow with drinks and food, the main event finally started.
Rihanna took to the stage clad in black tights, black jacket and a spike peak. I anticipated incredible wardrobe changes from the fashionista.
However every time she performed and walked off the stage, I expected a new outfit but that didn’t happen.
Lack of wardrobe changes aside, we sang our lungs at as she belted out her popular hits. I expected rain or some form of effects as Rihanna sang Umbrella.
I was glad, actually ecstatic that she sang my favourite songs We Found Love. I do think N and I made our guys deaf with our rendition of almost every song of the night.
Besides her singing, Rihanna proved how useful her twerkin’ skills are since she can move her hips better than Shakira. Just saying! No wonder the Barbadian girl has a fine butt!
RiRi said her thanks and the lights turned out. Some people thought the show was over. I even said “How can the show be over if this is her
Diamonds World Tour and she hasn’t sung it yet?”A few minutes later Rihanna was back in shorts this time singing her ballad Stay. Of course the show ended on a high as Rihanna ended with Diamonds!
It was an awesome spur of the moment trip. The only real complaint is the parking situation.
Just as a FYI for anyone attending concerts at FNB Stadium, parking is nightmare so try and park closer to the stadium exits.
