Travel Channel invited me to the media launch of the Ultimate Braai Master S4. The show has grown significantly since it’s induction on television screens. Originally on SABC, the show now airs on Travel Channel therefore reaching an international audience now. A great achievement for a South African show.
It was my first time meeting the filmmaker Justin Bonello, the host of the show. The best thing I enjoy from the Ultimate Braai Master is exactly what its creator exudes, authenticity. Despite the announcement that the format of the show is going global with versions for Australia, USA, Canada, Brazil, New Zealand, Poland and Sweden. Justin is passionate about his work and is authentic about it without having an ego regarding the shows success.
The new season of Ultimate Braai Master shows off the very best of South Africa’s landscape which often has me thinking that I’ve barely seen the true beauty the country has to offer beyond the borders of Gauteng.
