[dropcap custom_class=”normal”]H[/dropcap]appy Bastille Day France!
There are a few reasons why I love Bastille Day. Firstly it is my birthday (no, really it is). Then it’s celebrating my obsession with France and all things French.
I even know the French anthem… Okay I only know this because the French class in high class sang it every year for Bastille Day.
Regardless, I still love France and especially the City of Lights. There is something magical about the city from the people, the culture, food and the street style.
So how can you be more French to celebrate the holiday?
Well it’s pretty simple really.
Macaroons

Have a macaroon* or two or five… who’s counting, I love them. The crispy shell as it cracks while you bite into it and reach the moist center (Goodness! I’ll get a room). You get the picture!
My favourite macaroon’s here is Nicole’s Macaroons, they’re crazy delicious.
Nutella crêpes

While on the subject of food, have you tried a Nutella crêpe?
Delicious doesn’t begin to describe this chocolatey heaven. It’s become a problem… “Hi my name is Nikita and I’m addicted to Nutella crêpes”. You’ll join me soon at Nutella Crêpes Anonymous!
Minimalist fashion
Fashion is synonymous with Paris, the basic minimalist look makes the women look chic and sophisticated all year round.

Having a pair of neutral ballet pumps is a step in the right direction too.

Add a pair of black skinny jeans, trust me you’ll wear it more often than you think.

So have yourself a fabulous Bastille Day as you don your red lipstick and ride your bicycle to the nearest bakery.
Remember that Paris is always a great idea. Vive la France!
Au revoir!
