Alas, Siba’s Table returns to Food Network with a second season.
I know that fans of the gorgeous Siba Mtongana are rejoicing at the news!
So set your decoders, Siba’s Table S2 is back with a bang, starting Friday 16 October at 20:00 on the Food Network, on DStv channel 175.
In order to celebrate the new season, the media was invited to a lunch in a sky event at the Fairway Hotel.
Before the lunch began, we were shown the first episode of the new season. Just as Siba likes to say “it’s va-va-voom” and filled with deliciousness.
It was hard not to salivate while watching the episode, the dishes looked incredible. With my stomach rumbling, I was ready for the lunch in the sky.
It was my first time dining in the sky. A safety team secures every guest into their seats and then a crane starts ascending 40m into the air.

The lunch was prepared by the incredible staff at Fairway Hotel. They prepared Siba’s dishes form the show. Siba had flown up to Jo’burg to ensure that dishes emulated her “deliciousness”.
For starters, it was Siba’s Beet Salad with pistacho covered goat’s cheese.
The beautiful chef introduced her starter dish and spoke about the new season of Siba’s Table.

Before we tucked into the Siba’s Surf & Dish dish prepared with an Asian marinade.
She made an announcement that had us cheering and will delight her fans.

So with Siba’s announcement over with, we celebrated with her dessert dish of Coconut Macaroons (not to be confused with macarons) and truffles.
With dessert done, it was time to descend back to reality with our stomach filled with “deliciousness”.
The perfect launch to showcase the new season of Siba’s Table.
