The cold mornings and evenings deter many from working out. We’ve all heard the excuses, “I’m tired”, “I’m lazy”, “I don’t have time” bla bla bla. The excuses are countless but never valid. I won’t lie, I can be lazy too. I’d rather sleep in in the mornings or curl up on the couch while catching up with my favourite shows.
Being indoors at home with endless amounts of exercises posted online, there’s no excuse to not gym at home with these tips.
Get dressed
Firstly change out of your clothes into comfy clothes that you can move around in. Think workout trainers, tracksuit pants and a top. Don’t forget the correct sports bra too.
Find your space
Have enough space to workout. If the sun is still out why not workout in your garden. If not make a space in your lounge.
Get a mat
Use a yoga mat (if you have or a towel) so that you can do your mat exercises in some comfort.
Get heavy
Buy a set of weights. Start off with 2kgs, if you’d like. It might seem light but when you doing the weight exercises it will hurt. Trust me!
Workout plan
Print out a set of exercises so that you know exactly what you doing. That way you won’t feel lost in what you’re doing. I like the fitness page on Pinterest and the Women’s Health online exercises.
Pump up the music
Select a playlist that will keep moving and motivated.
