Potter fans around the world rejoiced at this morning’s news that the infamous story of the wizard child, Harry Potter will return once more with an eighth book, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.
This exciting news comes after the announcement in 2015 that London’s West End would open the play, by the same name. While fans were excited about the play opening in July 2016, I couldn’t help but wonder, “Will there be just one more book?”.
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows left fans off as the grown-up trio of wizards, Ron, Hermione and Harry send their own children off to Hogwarts.
According to Pottermore, the eighth book will pick up from there. The secret on how the story will unfold is safe with J.K. Rowling until the book is published.
Until that happens, I’ve been reading Harry Potter series again. It’s been some years since the first time I read Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone back in 1999.
It’s a story collection that I’ll pass on to my children one day.
