A fashion staple for many is the much debated nude shoe. It has finally matured thanks to Christian Louboutin.
So “what colour is nude?” is often debated because not every nude colour shoe matches everyone’s skin tone. I’ve always seen nude colour shoes as more of a pinky-beige combo, a far cry from my olive skin tone.
Regardless, I’ve always been a fan of the colour because I find it to be a neutral colour shoe that matches almost any outfit. It is always a flattering colour as it gives the illusion of longer legs. Don’t believe me? Go try on a pair of black shoes versus a nude pair and let me know which looks better for your legs.

Now the french luxury shoe has upped the ante and finally created a range of nude shoes.
The range now caters for more skin tones as opposed to the regular pinky-beige tone.
It’s a step forward for fashion.
I’m sure this change will soon be adopted by more shoe manufacturers worldwide. Definite must for the South African market!
The range is available to order online. In Johannesburg, contact 2A in Hyde Park as they are the official stockists of Christian Louboutins.
