My sister recently showed our dad her wedding shoes. He prompted responded with, “But it’s not white!”
It’s not white, granted but there are no exact rules of what shoe colour to wear. Wear a pair of shoes that suits your personality or theme of the wedding.
I’ve come across articles where editors and writers say that brides should not bother with splashing out on shoes. The articles often read, “your shoes will be hidden”,” it’s a waste of money” and “nobody ever sees it”.
Yes I agree to certain degrees on this argument but buying a pair of shoes that you love will not be a waste. Your shoes will be photographed even if it will be hiding under layers of tulle.
I’ve seen brides wear an old pair of tatty heels because of the comfort fact and misconception that no one will see your shoes. I did and to this day I will forget about it!
So forget about tatty old heels or traditional white kitten heels that will end up at the bottom of your cupboard.
Find a pair that will accentuate your dress and you’ll love being photographed with.
Embrace your inner Cinderella and shop for a pair of shoes you’ll love even after your wedding day.
I know, I will.
