Friday Favourites:Walt Disney Company Africa 2021

In this week’s edition of Friday Favourites, we’re focusing on the latest offerings for 2021 with the Walt Disney Company 2021.

To celebrate the new content on their seven 24- hour channels on DStv across the continent, they dropped off a pretty cool press-drop (Check it out here!). Sharing the new seasons and new shows coming to Disney Junior, Disney Channel, FOX, National Geographic,  National Geographic WILD,  and ESPN. 

So we’re sharing the shows that our family is eager to see.

Upside Down Magic

The Disney Channel Original Movie (DCOM) premiers Upside Down Magic on Friday 29 January at 17:00 on the Disney Channel.  It stars Izabela Rose as 13-year-old Nory who discovers her magical powers. She can transform into animals while her best friend Reina can manipulate fire. The movie follows their journey as they enter the Sage Academy for Magical Studies.

Bluey season 2

Bluey,  an Australian show that follows a canine family with their funny and entertaining antics. Bluey is back with a second season along with Bingo her sister, and we as a family cannot wait for it.

Bluey S2 starts 22 February on Disney Junior.

Vampirina

The spooktacular show returns with the third season of Vampirina.  The lovable vampire and her human friends continue their adventures.

Watch the new season Vampirina on weekdays at 7:00 on Disney Junior.

Trafficked with mariana van zeller

This is one for the adults while the kids are asleep. TRAFFICKED with Mariana Van Zeller exposes the underworld’s dangerous workings of the trafficking world and the world’s multitrillion-dollar shadow economy.

Watch it on Thursdays at 21:00 on National Geographic.  

Big Cat month

National Geographic WILD kicks off its 10th anniversary of BIG CAT MONTH. Jade Eyed Leopard kicks off BIG CAT MONTH on Sunday 7 February at 18:00 on National Geographic WILD.  With wide variety cats, you’ll battle to choose a favourite.
