Baby Brunch with Thuli Madonsela and Elana Afrika Bredenkamp

27/10/2020

Baby Brunch with Thuli Madonsela and Elana Afrika BredenkampWho would you trust to write a children’s book for your children?

Prof Thuli Madonsela needs no introduction in the political and legal field, and she is now extending her extraordinary impact to younger minds and families with “Melo’s Kingdom”, her first children’s book. This week Elana Afrika-Bredenkamp talks with the professor about children, motherhood, spirituality and more.

“Melo’s Kingdom – Storytime Adventures in the African Bush” is everything that both we and our children need right now. It has character-building fables and proverbs, pearls of wisdom, principles for living a life well-lived, and images to transport us to enchanting faraway worlds.

Tune in to our special broadcast with one of Time Magazine’s Top 100 Most Influential People in the World as we discuss the professor’s new book, motherhood, childhood, spirituality and more!

The Parent and Baby Brunch special broadcast airs as a webinar Tues 27 October 2020 at 4pm on Facebook.com/BabyBrunch SA and thereafter as a podcast on BabyBrunch.co.za as well as on Apple and Spotify.

“Speaking with Thuli Madonsela is a privilege and an honour” says Elana. “I emceed her book launch in Johannesburg last week. Having Professor join us on the webinar and podcast is a delight!”

The webinars and podcasts are supported by Fedhealth, Epimax and Jacaranda fm.

About Me:

Hi I'm Nikita.

Welcome to my corner of the online sphere. A place where we can be honest about mothering while trying to juggle life as working moms. As mothers, we worry about losing our identity, so let's find out together. With eight years of experience as a wordsmith, I'm never at a loss of words but maybe that's my Portuguese heritage coming through.

So proud to be named one of Twinkl's Best Family Bloggers for 2023

My heart swelled at the sight of Adriana’s joy. My heart swelled at the sight of Adriana’s joy.

She feels seen as a girl with T1D.

With her CGM, and insulin pump.

It’s one of the things that we work hard to instil in her, that she is “seen”, loved and that she should never feel embarrassed of her illness.

It’s her superpower to educate others and advocate for T1D.

Tag fellow T1D warriors 💙
